The endless cycle of my inbox

My inbox and my life have a natural cycle of growth and decay. Here I explain this cycle in all its glory. Killer hamsters included.

I want to talk about looking for a critique partner because that’s all I’ve been thinking about for the past few months.

(What do you mean it hasn’t been months since I blogged to say I was looking for a critique partner?)

But I haven’t locked in a critique partner yet and you don’t want to read that post twice, so I’m not going to talk about it today.

*screams into a cushion for a while, gets cat hair in her mouth*

A confession and the true value of this blog

I have a confession to make.

Since I went back to work a month and a half ago, I’ve done very little writing.

None at all some weeks, an odd and unproductive hour other weeks.

I could make excuses, but honestly I’ve been run down to the ground, and surviving has taken priority over writing. I don’t feel bad about it.

What are your stress dreams?

Not a stressful river

There are certain dreams I frequently have when I’m stressed. They probably say something deep (and not very flattering) about my psyche.

Perhaps weirdly, they’re not about the most calamitous events–in the scheme of things they’re closer to laughable–but that doesn’t stop them being terribly stressful to live (or dream) through.
