Perhaps you have questions. If you do, you probably won’t find the answers here, but you might find something even better so you should keep reading anyway.

Where can I buy your books?

I’m thrilled that you ask, but I haven’t published any books yet. I will one day, and if you follow my blog you’ll be the first to know when I do.

In the meantime, why don’t you read some of my blog posts or short fiction?

I blog terrible advice, mostly-true anecdotes, and random silliness. At times there are dragons. Sometimes I even talk about reading or writing books.

My short fiction is short and not true, in case you were confused.

What’s your name?

If the title of my site doesn’t give it away, my name is A.S. Akkalon.

Oh, you meant what does that stand for? A is for Alecia. S is for my middle name, obviously.

Why do you blog?

Because I want to be a gazillionaire, of course. My plan goes like this:

Step 1: Write blog.

Step 2: Magic and miracles.

Step 3: Gazillions of dollars.

Fine, don’t tell me why you blog. What kind of novels do you write?

Fantasy! There might be dragons and castles, or desert oases and giant scorpion demons. Magic will probably be in there somewhere, and fighting of course. There might be nomadic horse people or unicorn herders.

The characters are flawed and spectacular, and go on sweeping emotional journeys. They’re probably out to save the world, or at least their little corner of it.

I like to write about worlds that are bigger, brighter, and more exciting than the world where I live. Also, where you’re more likely to die.

Maybe the meaning of life is hidden in my stories somewhere, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Cats or dogs?

Do you even have to ask?

Will you beta read for me?

It’s a definite possibility.

I wrote a post about my beta reading philosophy that has more information about how I read beta, who I’ll beta read for, and some obligatory lame jokes.

I suggest you take a look at the post, and if it doesn’t scare you off feel free to email me. I love to help other writers, and it’s a great way to procrastinate from getting my own writing done.

What if I have a question you haven’t answered here?

You can email me at a.s.akkalon (at) gmail (dot) com. I’m a real person and I will definitely respond and probably answer your question.

Or maybe you’ll find the answer on my About page. Check it out. It’s not far and the walk is pleasant.
